New light Watchtower magazine leaked from organization weeks ahead of general release
by cedars inhttp://jwsurvey.org/governing-body-2/new-light-watchtower-magazine-leaked-from-organization-weeks-ahead-of-general-release.
if doctrinal explanations are missing from the article, it is because they are also missing from the magazine.. i would like to give my thanks again to my source for supplying me with the magazine article weeks ahead of its scheduled release.
it showed remarkable courage, because risks were taken.

Cedars,
you have compiled what seventy men in watchtowers writing department could never do. This has awakened more of my braincells that I never knew I had. The wheels are turning like when I was first learning the bible. Which by the way leads me into this question if you don't mind answering it
WHAT WERE YOU LIKE AS A JEHOVAH'S WITNESS AT THE DOORS AND MEETINGS?
My hat goes off to you and others for displaying such loyalty to the real truth! Helping those that are hungering for truth and helping them trying to find it. I've never had at the same time such mixed emotions of relief, happiness, such sadness, loss of friends and family, finding new friends ect,,, It's quite the roller coaster ride but it was well worth gaining back my selfworth, freewill and sanity.
Thank you a whole bunch

There are really TWO Watchtower Societies
by Terry inwith cedars release of leaked watchtower new light "adjusting" understanding of "who" the faithful and discreet slave is.....i am struck by something which similarly struck me back in 1967.in 1967 i had just been imprisoned.
being a male jehovah's witness during the viet nam war meant certain "issues" arose affecting a decision to respond to the military draft.i have told the story before.
but, i'd like go at it from another angle in view of the above mentioned new light about the fds fora different reason.it was first in 1967 i began to discover that there are two watchtower societies.let me explain why i say this and for what reasons.first of all, anybody standing in a kingdom hall or sitting in a seat at a vast international assembly saw people they would identify as all on the same page.

Just before leaveing our hall for the last time we were asking too many questions. Anyone that replied would say we're too deep or we take our bible too serious. Even when we would try and talk about examples in the bible we would be told where did you read that or who did you hear that from. The most hilarious was when a sister told me she loved the life stories in the watchtower and that's our spiritual heritage. I grabbed my bible and said no, the bible is my spiritual heritage! You should have seen the blank look on her face and now she tells everyone that I'm too negative about the society. Yet, I'm not the one that has a potti mouth or hangs out with worldly people and tries to hide what I am from the witnesses.
I hope her husband asks her to explain the July watchtower coming out that cedars explained. She's the type that will get pissed off when she sees that it doesn't make sense and she can't answer his questions.
Proud to be a watchtower reject since that's how the elders made us feel when they couldn't answer our questions but attacked us with : don't be so dogmatic, negative, critical and are you questioning the fds.
Terry, you are so dead on. And I am saying that in a POSITIVE light!

what exactly is an independent mind, from WT pov?
by cptkirk inis this just basically another way to say, we dislike the fact that we aren't able to control you as easily as we would like to?
or is there actually some precept which reflects this notion somewhere?
obviously from their pov if you say that you believe in the trinity, that is independent from their pov, but they would never even get to that because you would already be df'ed for apostasy.

Anyone who reads the bible on their own and builds a personal relationship with themselves and their creator based on their own conscience and bible principles. Along with no doctrine, publications, fear or guilt coming in between you and the bible.
Look at all the examples in the bible that Yehovah chose in stead of the groups that were suppose to represent his organisation here on earth. Examples like Jesus, David, Daniel, Paul, the two spies instead of the ten, Moses instead of the nation of Isreal, Noah, Abraham, Solomon, Job ect It always boiled down to one guy and why? Obviously, they had a personal relatioship with their creator that pleased him in such a way.
You can have an organisation but that's not what Yehovah wants. He wants obedience, not sacrifice. Your freewill and not someone saying you better do it our way or you'll die.

Christs whole ministry was three and a half years, so does that mean a life long faithful history? No! How long did the apostles know Jesus? That only those that have served for ions can partake?????????????No! That letter that Paul wrote was to the WHOLE congregation of corinthians and some of those people were obviously not in good standing. Read that whole chapter and the one before. They were still learning and not fully equipped. And only Jehovah's witnesses will make it? I won't even go there

Well... I got my 'invite'
by Jim_TX inas most know, it's that time of the year when the jws go out 'in force' and bang on doors trying to leave their litter-ature for the memorial - aka 'memorial invite'.. this morning (saturday), i was at the local coffee shop - which is normal for me.
my wife was at home chilling on the sofa, in her nightie.. i got a text message around 9:30-ish saying that jws had been at our house.. when i got home, my wife said she was sitting on the sofa when she heard a light 'tap tap' on the door.
we have a doorbell.

I got mine in the mail with a lovely card and a bunch of signatures on the outside of the envelope. When I ran into one of the ones who signed the envelope, I thanked her for the card and she said what card. That was in the same week the card was sent. OUCH!!!!!!!

I don't know, that's like asking why from a child and seeing my brother crack his head open, living and dying at eleven(parents refused a blood transfusion) at a children's hospital, father an elder doing disgusting things to his kids and beating our mother up like stabbing a fork in her neck because his tea was too cold, trying to make sense of it all so I decide to come back into the religion forty yrs later and still can't put the pieces together until I came across this sight that answered it all. And now I have peace of mind. There's no way I could just move on and block what I had seen in my childhood or block all the damage society had done.
I look forward every week seeing Blondies comments, JW Facts, Cedars ect,,, I look forward to helping others who have similar experiences or them helping me.
I am glad you have moved on but forgive me if I come across stupid or harsh but with what you have accomplished, shouldn't you be a little kinder and try and help some one here who can't afford a therapist that might get the help that's needed from your words alone? Someone who didn't have it quite like you or know how to achieve the accomplishments you have done? There are some who don't even know where to begin with setting goals or moving on. This might be their jolt every morning to starting their day.
We share the same planet, why not the same sites? How else can we live with one another, helping others to cope without a fee attatched? Stay on board. This can only add to what you are learning and in return helping others.

Apparently angels are scared of dogs too. Quit picking on those poor angels.
One thing we were taught in dog training(shutzhund) was when a dog comes at you make a noise that its never heard like ahhhh really loud. Not the word no for they hear that all the time. It really does work.

We've always owned rotties. I have one now but I live out in the country. My dogs are never out unless we are outside with them. Unfortunately where we live, if a guy breaks into our home and our dogs attack him, the cops will put our dogs down even though we have signs in the windows that say beware of dog. Plus we would be the ones charged. I have been caught in my pj's while putting the dogs in their kennels when a jw crept up behind me and scared the shit out of me. If the dog would have been loose it might have been another story like this. The dog would only be doing its job.
I have also been out in service when it was written on the back of a territory card that the householder had a vicous dog but the idiot still got out of the car and got bitten on the back of the leg. He went to the hospital to get a shot but what was sad was it was an elderly widow who lived out in the country all alone with her protective dog. That dog was taken away from her for ten days put in quarantine.
I've also been out with some really lame brain witlesses over the years that really do believe they are protected by angels but in another breath will ask if I will go to the door because I own rotties. My reply is NO. I train my own dogs and know them but some of the most stupid comments I hear are unbelieveable. Put the stupid mags in the mailboxes. Even when I have no trespassing signs up, it doesn't stop the witlesses.
Bottom line: you see a sign, DON'T GO IN!
